The Historical Sew Monthly 2015 #1: men corset/ body belt

And probably it's time to start blogging about my sewing experiments, historical and not only.

The challenge for January is Foundations: make something that is the foundation of a period outfit.

I decided to make men corset/ body belt for my husband for the first half of the 19th century. I've found very few sources about this period men corsets, some of them very dubious, but there are two which seem rather true-to-fact to me:
